Welcome to our new website!

It’s really a pleasure to welcome you to Louisville Dining and Entertainment online! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a web developer at Louisville Web Group, and I’m married to Sande Rawlings, master graphic designer and owner of Rawlings Creative Group, publisher of Travelhost Magazine.

We’ve enjoyed some success with Travelhost and we’ve managed to secure a very large distribution network. In fact, we’re in at least 12,000 rooms in greater Louisville and that’s more than any other publication. In fact, I suspect we’re in more actual rooms than all the others combined!

But one of the hoteliers with whom we work made a great suggestion and that was to create a way to share the same information that we compile for travelers and direct it to locals. He felt like it would be a great mission if we were to dedicate ourselves to locals utilizing our vast – and wonderful – local resources.

Sande and I agreed that this was an excellent idea. But Travelhost is a hospitality magazine for travelers. It’s in hotels and visitors centers, not at your neighborhood magazine shop. Hence the inspiration for a new publication that takes the information we provide for travelers and turns it back to the community with the goal of motivating people to take advantage of our fine restaurants, our amazing museums and our breathtaking attractions.

And that’s what we’re here. Virtually every significant restaurant, entertainment venue and attraction is included on this website! What’s more, is that each restaurant, entertainment venue and attraction either currently has – or will soon have – it’s own mini-site within this one that they will be able to maintain and update whenever they like! And this site encourages feedback – you can participate by doing your own restaurant reviews and our forums will be a great place for you to interact with other folks about your dining and entertainment experiences.

So even though this site has just been launched it is far from finished! The restaurants, clubs and attractions have just started adding their content and I expect to see downloadable discount coupons, videos and menus added in the coming days and weeks. So bookmark this site! And check back often.
